HTC, the Taiwanese consumer electronics company, launched its latest smartphone HTC U11 which is a successor to its HTC 10. This latest innovation from the Cher Wang led mobile company comes with a new feature – Squeeze.
The U11 mobile phone is equipped with pressure sensors on the bottom half long edges of the smartphone. When squeezed, the headset will respond to perform different tasks, including opening apps, taking selfies, launching Google Assistant, dictating words, and much more.
The squeeze feature will also work even if you are wearing gloves or the smartphone is covered with a transparent protective case. HTC will be releasing a new app known as Edge Sense for U11 users in July to enhance the features of the mobile phone.
The HTC U11 comes with 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, 12 MP camera, Snapdragon 835 processor, 5.5-inch screen, a 3000 mAh battery, and Quad HD Display. For charging and data transfer, the smartphone relies on USB Type-C port.
HTC partnered with Sprint as their exclusive carrier partner in the US, the smartphone will go on sale in stores from June 9th The smartphone is priced at $649 in the US.
